01How does the system operate if municipal water is interrupted or water pressure drops?
Vicon uses an independent high-pressure pump and can draw water directly from a swimming pool, water tank, or other available water source. It does not rely solely on municipal water pressure.
02How does the system operate when external power is completely lost?
The system can be equipped with independent battery storage and an inverter. During a grid outage, the backup power system continues supplying power to the pump, controller, sensors, and communication equipment.
03Can the system automatically detect and suppress a fire when no one is on-site?
Yes. When equipped with AI detection and automatic control modules, the system can detect, locate, track, and suppress a fire according to preset operating logic without requiring personnel on-site.
04How does the system reduce false alarms?
Vicon combines AI visual recognition with smoke and temperature sensing modules. The system cross-checks flame, smoke, and abnormal temperature signals before triggering an alarm or automatic suppression response.
05Can the system continue operating if internet or cellular connectivity is lost?
Yes. Core detection, pump control, and automatic suppression functions operate locally. Remote notifications and cloud monitoring may be temporarily unavailable until communication is restored.
06How long can the system spray continuously?
The operating duration depends mainly on the available water supply. As long as a sufficient and continuous water source is available, the system can continue spraying according to the configured operating mode.
07Will strong wind, dense smoke, or extreme weather affect performance?
Extreme wind, dense smoke, ash, rain, or intense heat may affect detection accuracy and water coverage. System placement, detection angles, spray direction, and operating settings are adjusted according to site conditions.
08Can the system integrate with existing fire protection systems?
Yes. Subject to interface compatibility, Vicon can integrate with fire alarm systems, fire pumps, building management systems, security systems, and central control rooms.
09What warranty and maintenance support does Vicon provide?
The system uses a durable stainless-steel design and requires minimal routine maintenance. Vicon provides a 10-year warranty, subject to the terms and conditions of the final sales or project agreement.
10What are the operational limits of the system?
Vicon is designed for early fire detection, spot-fire suppression, ember control, and property perimeter protection. Performance depends on fire intensity, wind, water supply, equipment placement, and site conditions. It does not replace evacuation orders or professional fire department response.
